PDF to Excel with OCR App Reviews
Just lost $8.99 !
This app keeps crashing and crashing, for no apparent reason. Very frustating.
Conversion is good, plus for that. Ability to select what portions of the pdf doc to convert is good, plus for that. Zooming is bad, minus for that. Can’t figure out how to save, minus for that. Where is the Save as… in the menu? All I can see is open a saved project.
I have tried it on several PDF spread sheets from different clients. Moved the data but did not come accross in a useable fashion. Saved me maybe 20% over keying in all the data again. Wish I could send back - At $8.95 it was $8 overpriced.
-Does not get simple tables correct -when a table is incorrect, you must manually right click and add a horizontal or vertical line, which you have to manually place. Forget about it if your text is slightly skewed. -And you have to do manually right click for every line it screws up, which is a lot! Deleting lines is the same process. -for this program, you are better off just typing it by hand, no matter the number of pages. Total ripoff, a scam of a product, I want my money back.
I wanted this software to scan some spreadsheets into excel from a PDF file or jpg file. It does not translate any of it. Not just putting it in the wrong columns, it is putting the code in the excel spreadsheet. It is entirely useless. I can not believe it.
I don’t have a lot of recurring reasons to use this product. However, I received a detailed report that was scanned as a pdf that I really needed in excel. I quickly checked the app store and found this product. It worked like a charm and accurately scanned everything in from a 12 page report. I’m very satisfied!
this conversion software does a good job of getting data from PDF to Excel cells, but once in cells, it is not accurate—for example, symbols are often converted as letters and the text in the cell runs together if was one 2 lines and cannot be separated. I would Not spend $10 on this software knowing what I know now.
Just have used it to convert about 10 PDF documents to Excel spreadsheets and it worked like a charm, only a very few errors such as the font color, but as its totally editable, if you would like the perfect excel spreadsheet, you could edit it! SO still would like to give it 5stars for keeping the right layout and contents.
Does not work for large tables
The document conversion fails for all the tables I tried it with. With financial statements it does not align the columns anywhere near to accurate
Able to take my PDf’s and get the sizing of the cells right, BUT COULD NOT TRANSFER THE DATA IN THE CELLS OVER TO AN EXCEL FILE. That was literally the reason I bought this. I would ask for a refund if I could. Honestly just use the free trial for adobe acrobat (what I ended up having to do).
